 - From June 17 - June 19, SDF supports up-and-coming 20 Korean designer brands’ participation at WHITE MILANO

 

□ Seoul Design Foundation (CEO Lee Geun) announced that it will operate a special zone at the WHITE MILANO Trade Show, an international contemporary fashion trade show taking place in Milan from June 17 to June 19, as part of its effort to support 20 of Korea's brightest up-and-coming designer brands.

 

□ The participation is a part of the foundation’s ‘International Fashion Exhibition Support Program’ sponsored by the Seoul city government. The program is designed to support the brightest up-and-coming designers from Korea to participate in the major international fashion trade show and to help revitalize Korean fashion’s presence in the global market.
  ○ WHITE MILANO is one of the most important international fashion exhibitions taking place in the global fashion capital of Milan, showcasing the rising, new contemporary brands from around the globe. Since its launch in 2000 as a small event, it has grown into a greatly influential fashion event that serves as a showcase for the latest trend in contemporary fashion and a cultural exchange for designers, stylists and artists.
  ○ WHITE MILANO hosts 4 trade shows a year - January and June for Mens’ and Womens’ collections; February and September for Womens’ collections. Accessories and beauty products are also exhibited alongside the garment collections and over 500 brands and 21,000 buyers take part.

□ Seoul Design Foundation will provide interpreters, on-site marketing and promotion support, to facilitate the designers’ effort to break into the international market in various ways.

 

□ Lee Geun, the CEO of Seoul Design Foundation said, “We take pride in presenting the ebullient, up-and-coming designers from Korea at one of the most influential fashion exhibitions in the world. Through this International Fashion Exhibition Sponsor Program, we plan to continue providing opportunities for the next generation Korean designers and small-to-medium fashion companies with competitive edge to break into the global market”.
